I have a difficult time peeling the shell off a hard-boiled egg by hand without damaging the egg. Peeling the egg also irritating and takes longer than I’d like. The best trick I’ve come across is to put the egg(s) in some water in a closed container and shake it around. The water prevents the eggs from getting completely destroyed but the banging around knocks the shell right off.
